Why are Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phones exploding?

Samsung is really on the hot seat right now because of the issues of their phones lately.

Samsung has already been forced to recall the Note 7 handset due to them exploding. The fault has been put down to a problem with the batteries, which caused the phone to overheat and in some cases burst into flames and leak dangerous chemicals.

American Daniel Ramirez was badly burned when his S7 Edge exploded in his pocket – prompting him to sue Samsung for £11,000.

But the South Korean tech giant has say there aren’t any confirmed issues with the S7, and there are no plans to recall the handset as there have only been a handful of incidents.

It is possible the explosion cases could have been caused by malfunctioning batteries – an issue which can be caused by using cheap charging cables.

Galaxy S8 model numbers leak, release may be sooner than expected because of the Note7’s troubles

The big question now is, “Will Samsung be able to recover?”

The Galaxy Note7 recall isn’t doing Samsung any favors when it comes to brand perception. Not only that, but the company’s most recent flagship phablet itself may never recover from the “it’s exploding” headlines. So apparently the Korean company might be thinking of pushing forward the release of the Galaxy S8 in 2017 hoping to erase all memories of the Note7debacle in the process.

This is just a rumor at this point, and it doesn’t go into any detail – so it’s unclear how much sooner the S8 will be outed than the S7 was this year.

From another source comes word that Samsung is in fact working on two S8 variations, and not just one as thought in the past. Obviously this doesn’t necessarily mean that two phones will end up launching, as we’re still …

Samsung recalls Galaxy Note 7 over battery flaw

When asked about it, Samsung’s smartphone business head Koh Dong Jin just said that it’s a “heartbreaking amount.”- talking about the number of units recalled.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 problems are just heating up.

The South Korean electronics giant on Friday said that because of a problem with the Galaxy Note 7 battery it would halt sales of the new device around the world. It’s also recalling and replacing those phones already sold.

The company’s flagship device has been on sale for just two weeks. Samsung said Friday that it has sold 2.5 million of the phones worldwide to date.

The recall comes at a critical time for Samsung, as Apple prepares to unveil its latest iPhone on Sept. 7. If the battery problem persists, it could threaten the momentum Samsung has enjoyed over the last few months, fueled by the success of the Galaxy S7. With the well-received launch of the Note 7 last month and the Gear S3 smartwatch at the IFA trade show this week, Samsung was starting to get its swagger back.

“There’s definitely damage done and the whole incident is detrimental to Samsung’s image,” said IDC analyst Tay Xiaohan. “The level of damage will depend on how Samsung addresses this issue quickly and solves the problem.”

Samsung Galaxy A8 With 5.9mm Thickness, Octa-Core SoC Launched

“If you in UK, you probably won’t be seeing this phone’s release. As confirmed by Samsung, this slimmest smartphone is just only available is only available to particular places.”

After several leaks and rumours, Samsung has finally launched its slimmest smartphone, the Galaxy A8 in China. The Samsung Galaxy A7 successor is just 5.9mm thick but is not the slimmest in the market. Handsets like Gionee Elife S7, Oppo R5 and Vivo X5Max feature 5.5mm, 4.85mm and 4.75mm thickness respectively. The Samsung smartphone is available in Black, White, and Gold colour variants, and is up for preorders only in China.

The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based Samsung Galaxy A8 runs TouchWiz UI on top and features two SIM slots, of which one also acts as a microSD card slot. This means that users would either get a dual-SIM support without a microSD card storage expansion or a single-SIM support with microSD card expansion. The smartphone boasts metal side bezels, near bezel-less screen and appears similar to the flagship Galaxy S6 from the front. However, besides its slim profile, the company has managed to squeeze in a fingerprint sensor, which also doubles as the home button.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Release Date Rumors Are Back

“I guess you don’t have to wait any longer for just in few you’ll have a new gadget to watch out for. Though a lot have mixed opinions about its release, we can’t deny the fact that we are also getting excited of what Samsung have to offer to people now.”

Rumors from Asia suggest that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) may be releasing the Galaxy Note 5 earlier than has been anticipated and stated by the corporation. Samsung has publicly denied the idea that it will release the Galaxy Note 5 before expectation, but murmurings emanating from near the Samsung supply chain suggest that these public pronouncements may be inaccurate.

Galaxy Note 5

July / August release date?

This is not a new rumor related to the phablet, as earlier reports have suggested that the Galaxy Note 5 could launch as early as July. But even if this particular assertion does not come to fruition, it is worth pointing out that an August release date would be advantageous for the corporation. With Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) not expected to deliver the iPhone 7 until October, this would give Samsung two months to sell as many units of the Galaxy Note 5 as possible before the Apple iPhone 7 Plus emerges.

Previous Galaxy Note releases have been tied into the IFA event; an annual tech show held in Berlin in September. If Samsung does indeed intend to release the Galaxy Note 5 before its usual window, then this would necessitate a standalone event in order to announce the phablet, which would certainly be a significant departure from the previous approach of the Korean company.

Galaxy Note 5 to play role in Apple battle

Samsung’s continuing battle with Apple is a focus of attention and strategy for Samsung, particularly since the corporation bullishly suggested in 2014 that it intended to overhaul Apple as the world’s most significant consumer electronics company. But the last 12 months has not been particularly successful in this rivalry for Samsung, with Apple establishing a significant lead over the Korean corporation. Additionally, Samsung was forced to concede publicly that its recent mobile releases have not been up to scratch, when figures were released by the corporation that indicated its profits had tumbled by 60 percent in 2014.

Thus, sources in Taiwan are increasingly suggesting that Samsung might be tempted to release the Galaxy Note 5 earlier than predicted in order to gain an advantage over …
